Jon L. Hartway

Jon L. Hartway was born on December 30, 1970 in Michigan. He graduated from Glenns Ferry High School in 1989 and got his Bachelor degree from Boise State University. Jon was a Chief Warrant Officer 4 and a Master Army Aviator. He had more than 4,500 flying hours that included 1,750 combat hours and 47.8 hours of imminent danger flight. Jon had experience flying AH-64A and AH-64D Longbow Apaches, C-12 Fixed Wing and Fixed Wing Seaplane. Jon also owned a Cessna 175. CW4 Hartway was deployed to combat 7 times to Afghanistan, and 4 times to Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He also served overseas tours in Korea and Germany. Jon proudly served with the Idaho Army National Guard's 1-183rd AVN BN as an aviation pilot and platoon leader. As an active duty warrant officer, he served with the 1-101st and 2-101st AVN BNs (Abn) Fort Campbell, 3-6th CAV Fort Hood and Korea, 2-6 CAV Illeshiem (Germany), and with the US Special Operations Command. Jon was a highly decorated and highly respected Aviator, earning the Master Aviator Badge. Jon also worked as a contract pilot overseas in support of drug enforcement activities.
